I saw this ziploc quilt at a workshop & fell in love. What a great way to display your student's work & keep it protected too. If your classroom is located in a high traffic hallway, you will definitely need one of these. They are super easy to make & VERY CHEAP!. You can also make it as large or as small as you want. All you need is gallon-sized ziploc bags & duct tape. I've seen duct tape in all colors & designs. My favorite has been polka dotted. These ziploc quilts will out last you too. I've had mine for 2 years. At the end of the school year, I fold it up & put it in my cabinet. Some ziploc bags have tags where you write the date on. My quilt has them (see 2nd pic above). Make sure they are all facing the same direction when you make your quilt. You don't want to see the tag when you place your student's work inside. What else can we use this ziploc quilt for? C'mon, "think outside the school box"
I'm a 3rd grade teacher In Gwinnett County & I LoVe what I do. I honestly believe I was born to teach & that is why I was placed on this Earth. Teaching just comes naturally to me. When I'm not teaching third graders, I'm teaching adults how to dance salsa. Check out our webpage www.mysalsaclasses.com. I'm always teaching!!! LOL!
